Life is not all about work

Lesotho is a beautiful landlocked country in the middle of South Africa and it is also a great base to explore the whole of Southern Africa... Just hope we'll manage to find some time to do it!

A week in Namibia Part 2

Missing Norway...Pedro and I went sandboarding on the dunes. Snow is definitively better than sand.

On our way to the south part of the desert to see the red dunes. The only kind of billboard you will find around these parts.

Proof we were there.

Sossusvlei 6.AM to see the sunrise. This is the best moment of the day. Shadows are much nicer on the sand dunes and the heat is a lot more bearable (in fact it is even cold).

Early morning walk

11.AM...starting to get hot, too hot !

Our cabin whilst we stayed in the desert. Not disturbed by the neighbours.

Kolmanskop. It doesn't look like it now but it used to be one richest places in Southern West Africa. A spot for diamonds...now only pure sand. But you never know. They still ask tourists not to pick up any stones just in case.

  2. Especially liked your pics in the desert: "sand and more sand" . The one of the viper and the chameleon are pretty nice ;=)
