Life is not all about work
Lesotho is a beautiful landlocked country in the middle of South Africa and it is also a great base to explore the whole of Southern Africa... Just hope we'll manage to find some time to do it!
A week in Namibia Part 1
Two weeks ago, Pedro and I took a week of holiday. After three months of work it is not too bad...but we had an excuse. It was our first anniversary. So we drove to Namibia. Quite a long way away from Lesotho. We probably drove 5000kms, a new record, this including a few of them on sand or rocks...but this is the fun of having a 4x4. The whole experience was great but the best part of it was going into the desert.

Our first experience in the desert was a safari close to Swakopmund. We started as real tourist, taking a tour with a guy call Tommy. His speciallity is reading the 'bush man newspaper' meaning the tracks left by the animals. It doesn't look like it but there is a whole world of living things underneath this sand.
Here is Tommy.

Look closer...a camelion.
Another type of animal.
Driving around here requires permanent attention because you could find any kind of animal on the road. Oryx, springboks,zebra....this time, we disturbed a herd of ostriches. Pedro likes them a lot...especially medium rare with potatoes.
More to follow soon...
Its a terrible feeling when I try to click on a image and I cant enlarge it ;)
